Roz

I stand united along with the other Harrods survivors, having spent 30 years living with fear and incredible shame that ensured I never told my story and I remained silent from a huge powerful institutional brand.
Standing up and giving my 16 year old self a voice, not only gives the message that what happened to me was real, but also that it was wrong and it should not have happened. I was vulnerable and although speaking together does not change those terrible events, it does ensure my truth and accountability to be heard. It also advocates that institutional abuse is unacceptable and cannot be hidden behind status and reputation.
I do not wish to revisit the past for its own sake, but to tell my truth and support the campaign, out of responsibility and dignity for future generations.
No one should ever experience what I did, and by standing united with the other survivors, my hope is that every person is protected in the workplace, to ensure safeguarding and protection stop danger and harmful cultures.
