Cheska

I was sent a letter out of the blue from Harrods saying that they had heard I was interested in a career with them. I was taking part in the debutante season of 1992 at the time. Harrods was not something I had ever considered but it seemed like an exciting opportunity and I left art school to work there.

Despite having no experience and not knowing who Fayed was, I was employed as his junior PA and worked in his Park Lane office.

I have spoken up repeatedly over the years to try to expose his behaviour and treatment of women, but I was constantly shut down or ignored.

I waived my right to anonymity on a Channel 4 Dispatches documentary in 2017 to try and get people to realise what was going on.

Only after he died did people finally take notice and start to hear us, see us and for us to know we mattered.

This behaviour towards women and girls cannot be allowed to happen anywhere and those who facilitate this behaviour need also to be held accountable.
