I was a young employee at Harrods in London, where I was systematically groomed and sexually abused by the owner and chairman, Mohamed Al Fayed. Senior staff played a direct role in facilitating my abuse: one told me I would have to be introduced to "Chairman" after she assessed my looks. Another routinely summoned me to Al-Fayed's private office inside Harrods, smirking as he did so, fully aware of what awaited me. I was then lured to the Al Fayed’s private residence under a fabricated work pretext, served drinks I believe were spiked with a sedative, and subjected to violent sexual abuse. When I resisted and escaped, I was dismissed within days under false pretences and forcibly paraded around the store as I was escorted from the building. I was then offered re-employment explicitly contingent on my sexual availability to the owner of Harrods, with housing at his private residence. When I never took up this abhorrent offer, Harrods subsequently sabotaged my career through defamatory references. My abuse was not the act of one man.”
